Successful Workshop
November 25, 2008This weekend’s Business Workshop was a great success! A good variety of participants from diverse backgrounds made for lively discussions and lots of exchange. By Sunday evening everyone was pretty tired, but excited about getting their business up and running at a new level.

Terry and I very much enjoyed your weekend workshop. There is little doubt that your wealth of information combined with a fabulous teaching style resulted in a very productive 3 days. We also enjoyed meeting all of your other attendees who were more than willing to share their own personal insights and experiences which we believe was natural extension within the atmosphere created by you. Your course, as I expected, was well organized, engaging and well executed. I was impressed by your stamina, as one would guess that teaching for 2.5 consecutive days is challenging.
I value the abundance of documents that you provided participants via email.
In you I see someone who, amongst the hordes of capable photographers, has used business acumen to construct and maintain a successful photography business. This sets you aside from most, since simply taking nice pictures has little to do with being successful. The distillation of your years of experience made for a valuable weekend.

I’m very glad I attended the workshop. I don’t have anything negative to say about it. It answered basically all the questions I had in my brain concerning the business side of photography and I appreciate the patience you took to answer all and any questions well and with examples. I am also very thankful for the amount of resources provided for complete newbies who have decided to step into the realm of Business in Photography. What I loved the most was how you can actually save money by budgeting well and not going in over your head, which may cause regrets in the future. It was long, but well worth it and would recommend to any who seek to venture of into the business.

First time for me to meet Rob but I feel we hit it off. The constant supply of coffee was welcome, the armload of papers on photography business
will go with me to my accountant and as a result of
Rob’s input or output, I have gleaned more useful information. A skilled tutor at Ryerson, Rob had us enthralled, a class of 12, we were able to ask questions up close, and listened enthusiastically to his response. I am sure the group benefited greatly from Rob’s 25 year experience in commercial photography. At mealtimes Rob was there with us, and did not distance himself from the class. I was intent on learning and thoroughly enjoyed the working weekend with Rob Davidson
