Successful Workshop

November 25, 2008

This weekend’s Business Workshop was a great success!  A good variety of participants from diverse backgrounds made for lively discussions and lots of exchange.  By Sunday evening everyone was pretty tired, but excited about getting their business up and running at a new level.

Thanks to everyone who participated!  You all made it a fun weekend.

I’ll be running more workshops in the new year, so check back here for further info.  If you have any suggestions for future workshops, post a comment or email me.

Archival Processes

March 29, 2008

For those who were on the tour of the show at the Corkin Gallery yesterday, we were talking about some of the archival processes involved in some of the older prints.  I found a great site full of information and how-to’s on some of these early processes here.  Have fun exploring!  Perhaps if there’s enough interest we could put together a workshop on combining these processes with digital capture!

Here’s an interesting site for those of you interested shooting food:  Teri Studios.   If you have a look in the post production section you can see the before and after retouching shots by mousing over the photos.  See what goes into creating the FINAL look!Enjoy!

Welcome to Rob’s Inlight

January 29, 2008

I’m creating this site primarily for my photography students, so you can get information, exchange ideas, and stay up to date on the constantly changing world of photography.  While I’m certainly no writer (and a worse typer), I will endeavor to make these postings at least entertaining, and hopefully informative. As a start, I’ve created Rob’s Guide to Everything!  (mostly photographic, but I do tend to digress)  On these pages you’ll find links and info about suppliers I recommend, places to get info, and where to get the stuff you need.  I hope you enjoy them.  If you have any suggestions, or need additional recommendations or info on a subject, just send me a comment. Enjoy!
